Take care of myself, first recording with Lor on guitar

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

L’Orca:

Sometimes a rocky time could be the difficult beginning for the climb of a mountain but, as you know, once you will be up there, you will be able to have a beautiful overview of the surroundings.

Sometimes the rocky time is just to let you know that, after the rough water there is a fall and you should be careful with it.

But I guess you already have the answer and you need to listen to the Jiminy Cricket that is inside of you or, if you have it, you could listen to who is close to you and let them tell you what to do. For my experience this is the most difficult thing to do but the most right.

An actress from Cleveland:

You could be a player, yes, but when does that game get old? There is something that monogamy brings that you can never get from random shallow relationships. You forgo other people and somehow God gives you something even better when you devote yourself completely to one person. Don't get me wrong, dating/sleeping around if you're not attached is a person's prerogative. I guess I'm at a point where that does not attract me and I want a person I can lose myself with and devote myself to.

So, there are my grand thought for the evening.

Nice lyrics, by the way. Perfect lyrics. It would be nice to hear the song that goes with them.

Reinassance man, with old friend Byron on Guitar

REINASSANCE MAN

A friend from Athens, GA

I was once engaged to a musician/songwriter. He was without a doubt the most romantic man that I had ever met. However, he lacked the confidence to follow his flare so his flames will always burn out quickly. I loved the way that he was so devoted to whatever he was currently involved with. He was focussed and would often work for days without sleep until he worked out the perfect solution for the thing he was working on at the moment.

We bought a house together and renovated the basement to be a sound studio. I loved that he was so driven. I was worried about his spending so much time in seclusion so I brought home a stray puppy one day. I named her Gypsy and spent weeks house breaking her. Then Tim spent one day with the dog and turned her into an alcoholic. I would often come home to find both of them in the basement drinking bourbon. The man had passion without a doubt. I guess you would have to in order to fuel your creativity.

The relationship ended because I wanted a life outside the studio and he was content to stay there forever. I still think he has a great talent and I hope he is successful in his music.

When I think back on my life then, it always makes me smile. I just couldn’t keep continuing to live that lifestyle. There are a few things more pathetic than a middle age groupie living vicariously thought a musician’s dream. But I still love the time I spent in that scene and I sometimes miss the girl I was during that time period.

Now, to your girlfriend dilemma:

You are such a great looking man, with such a great personality, lots of brains, talents, charm, manners, interests etc. Maybe you are too European, but that is also an asset!!!!

Maybe it would help, if you write down all the attributes in a woman you cannot live without and then stick to your wish-list (more or less) before going full steam ahead with a woman who does not measure up to your expectations, standards or personality. At least that way, you would avoid wasting time or being heart-broken.

In any relationship, I have learned over many years, it is the expectation we have of the other person that gets disappointed. Had we done our homework and stuck to our convictions and wish-list, a lot of failed relationships would not have happened.

But, of course , there has to be chemistry between man and woman, when that is not there, the whole thing is doomed!!!!

Hey, you are still young, your looks and attributes can only get better with age, so, don’t worry!

You are not getting older, you are getting more sophisticated and more distinguished, DAAAAAHLING.

All women like thoughtful lovers, but I think you know that already.

Take care, you wonderful Italian young man and don’t despair.

Love has to be around the corner.
