Growing Younger

Growing Younger is about to be released. The band, that has incorporated in the line up the electric jazz guitar, has already played most of the songs on stage during the past few months.

Growing Younger is a journey, back in time, back in space, back in a different life…

It starts in Cleveland, where the previous project Well Rounded, was thought and lived by L’Orca. The first song is the same Clevelander of the previous project but, this time, it has been taken far away from the original acoustic sound, also thanks to the excellent contribution of a couple of old time friends: Byron on Guitar and AJ. This was great time of exploration and awareness, time to harvest from the experiences of the past (Everybody is scared), time to reunite with family and friends (Take care), time to realize who we are and where we come from (Reinassance man). But also time to make peace with ourselves at both mental and also spiritual level (God).

At the end of 2006 L’Orca’s a trip to Toronto, a city that he never got to understand till that time (Dolphins), made him realize that it was Time to go home. This is where he moved, to re-discover an old but loved way to live (unreleased D song), Growing Younger to a newer level of life, thanks to a past full of experiences of life (Older).

The project is an additional step toward jazz soundings and it mixes hard groovy electro-drum beats together with rock and jazz guitars. The bass is often working with simple lines, even over complex chord sequences, so to emphasize the rhythmic pulse of the drum beat.
